MEN’S FELLOWSHIP OUTING to the Tudor Cinema in Comber, to watch “The Railway Man”. Please meet at Strean at 7pm, or at the cinema at 7.30pm.

ALL INSTRUMENT MUSICIANS PRACTICE for all ages and all levels of experience welcome. Please speak to Johanne Black if you are interested.

ANTIQUES AND COLLECTABLES FAIR – the next fair will be on Saturday 26th October from 10am-4pm, with jewellery, collectables, antiques, militaria etc. Refreshments will be available and proceeds in aid of Church Funds and Missions. Everyone welcome so please plan to attend and bring a friend. Also, are you able to help? Speak to Janet Johnston or add your name to the sign-up sheet in the Welcome Area if you are able to help, thank you.

STREET LIFE: a fundraising concert for Ards and North Down Street Pastors. The concert will feature several choirs and soloists. No tickets are necessary; donations at the door please.

Please note that SMALL GROUPS will be held on Wednesday 30th October and Friday 1st  November and not in the incoming week.



NIE engineers are intending to do some routine maintenance work to the sub-station (next to our bin store) area on Wednesday 23rd October from 8am until 4pm. Although the engineer does not envisage any disruption of service the West Street carpark will be closed as a NIE lorry and mobile generator unit will remain in the car park all day. Please speak to Sam Young or Stephen Boyle if you have any concerns or questions.

CLEANING – Session and Committee have approved the appointment of a contract cleaning company to clean the church and halls commencing Monday 21st October. Many thanks to everyone who has kept the church and halls clean over the last few months.  Please contact Sam Young if you have any questions.

SHOEBOX APPEAL – please lift a leaflet and instructions from the Welcome Area or Church Entrance. Filled shoeboxes must be returned Sunday 27th October and can be left in the Kerr Hall. Please note that some items provided by the Craft Class will be available after the service today or you can call in during office hours during this week.

THANK YOU to everyone who supported the recent coffee morning organised by Eileen Bell & Family. £1320 was raised for PanC NI (Pancreatic Cancer) which will support the work in increasing awareness of the early signs of pancreatic cancer.



We are planning to show the WORLD CUP RUGBY FINAL in the Welcome Area on Saturday 2nd November along with a bacon buttie and a cup of tea. If you’re interested please put your name onto the list in the coffee bar.

MEN’S FELLOWSHIP CHRISTMAS DINNER will be held in the second week in December (week beginning 9th). Any men interested please add you name to the sheet in the Welcome Area. Night and venue to be confirmed.
