Strean Craft Class
Please note that our end-of-year party will be on Monday 24th June – everyone welcome!
The Craft Class is run on Monday morning from 10am to 12.30pm and covers may skills:- knitting, sewing, crochet, patchwork, embroidery and banner-making for the church. The class has increased in numbers from eight members to over thirty. We welcome everyone who wants to share our skills and God’s fellowship. At the moment we are making Easter chicks, rabbits and baskets.
Last year some of the ladies went to a Craft Fair at the R.D.S. in Dublin. We once again entered Comber Show, and came home with a cup, which encourages the ladies for their hard work. This year the ladies are making hats, dolls, scarves and blankets for the Belfast City Mission. Also, an ongoing project is knitting pencil cases, dolls, hats, scarves and gloves for the Blythswood Care Christmas Shoebox Appeal.
We are always looking for wool; if anyone has some to spare at home please leave it in with Barbara in the Church office. If you feel like dropping in on Monday morning you will be made most welcome. God’s Blessing to You All.
