Events at Strean Presbyterian Church
Our church is more than just Sunday prayers. There’s a whole lot happening with our community throughout the week. We hold frequent gatherings and events, with special get togethers for families, kids and new members.
Tots & Toddlers
Tuesday morning from 10.15am to 11.45am during term-time
September to April
We welcome all Babies, toddlers, parents and carers.
Our activities include, toys, craft, making new friends and learning songs.
Sunday Services
Every Sunday
Join us every Sunday for our weekly service;
10:20 - 10:45 - Morning Prayer
11:00 - 12:00 - Sunday Service
11:00 - 12:00 - Sunday school during the service except 3rd Sunday (or sometimes 4th in a 5 Sunday month) each month, which is an all-age service. Supervised creche is available every Sunday during the morning service.
7pm Informal Evening Service in the Welcome Area on the last Sunday of every month.
Youth Fellowship
Sunday evenings from 7 – 8pm
(September to April)
Strean YF is for the young people (Year 8 and up) – and we aim to provide with them – a place where they can come to learn more about and worship God. We do this through Bible study and discussion, learning new songs and praise, and learning about the church and the world around us.
Craft Class
Monday morning from 10am to 12.30pm September to June
The Craft Class covers many skills:- knitting, sewing, crochet, patchwork, embroidery and banner-making for the church. The class has increased in numbers from eight members at the beginning to over thirty. We welcome everyone who wants to share their skills and God’s fellowship.

Men's Fellowship
Thursday evenings (usually 3rd Thursday of the month)

Football & Fellowship
Every Wednesday night at 8.00 pm (Sept - April)
Membership is made up of committed Church members and those with no connections to any Church. Every night starts and finishes with prayer. We also have an epilogue or a time of reflection. We have found by sharing our thoughts and life stories with each other, close friendships are formed and we can share God’s welcome by caring and helping in a practical way.
Small Group Bible Studies
Wednesday 7:30pm to 8:30pm
Friday 12:30pm to 1:30pm
The next sturdies will be on 8th & 10th February 2023
Twice a month we meet to discuss different books of the Bible and pray together. You're welcome to join us in a smaller forum for worship.
Presbyterian Women (PW)
First Thursday of each month at 7.30pm September - April.
The next meeting is on Thursday 2nd February: “Deeper Humility” with Catherine Charley from Horatio’s Garden. All ladies are invited to hear Horatio’s story and how the gardens have become a symbol of hope.
PW is for women of all ages, whether they are church members or not. We are a friendly welcoming bunch and have a varied and interesting programme of events to suit all tastes.
Badminton
Thursday evening from 7.30pm
September to Easter
Our badminton session runs from the beginning of September to the end of March. There is a range of abilities amongst our current membership so don't think that you have to be a. competitive player to enjoy playing badminton at Strean.
We welcome every 18+ to join us.
Bowling club
Thursday morning - 10:00am to 12:30pm
September to June
Join us for a relaxing game of bowls on Thursday mornings or Friday evenings. Everyone of all ages will be made very welcome.
Prayer Times at Strean
Sunday morning 10:20am
First Sunday of Every month is Elder's Prayer Time at 6:30pm
Please note that the next Elders' Prayer time is Sunday 5th February 2023
This is an opportunity to join with others for prayer.
Youth Club
Saturday evening 18:45 - 20:15pm
